It was love at first touch with Colonnade Twilight. So soft, and no wonder, it is 100% mercerized cotton, and has the feel of a soft newborn blanket. There is a stretch to the natural fibers that makes each pass smoother and mold easier to both the wearer and baby’s body. It was very easy to complete passes across baby’s back and not worry if the pass was smooth. The wrap measures an average to wide 26 inches (66cm) wide which was enough to get a deep seat, to the belly button, and still have full coverage of my baby’s back. The right and wrong sides are equally stunning with the portico design alternating dominant white on vibrant purple and purple on underlying white weft. We chose to wear a carry that allowed for a shoulder flip to show off both sides of the wrap. Consider a Shepherd’s Carry or Half Jordan’s Back Carry.
We took on the carry of the month in the Colonnade Twilight. The Back Wrap Cross Carry is usually a carry done in your base size which for me is a five. This Colonnade Twilight is a size four and the stretch of the natural fibers allowed me to complete the BWCC in the size four with my knot in the tails. Soft enough for a newborn yet supportive enough for my toddlers, I would recommend Colonnade as a great all purpose wrap.
